Wednesday the 13th March is Día del Turista, the municipality of La Oliva will be celebrating with a carnival parade in Corralejo.

The carnival season starts on the 6th February in Fuerteventura with Puerto del Rosario getting the party started until the 17th in the capital of the island. The council held a vote last year for the theme, of the three suggestions India, Africa and Advertising it was La Publicidad (Advertising) theme that won the most votes.
Antigua will be holding the next carnival from the 20th February to 3rd March, their theme is The Wild West.
Pájara have The Circus theme for their carnival which will be held from the 28th February to the 17th March.
Tuineje have a sweet tooth for their carnival, El Mundo de Las Golosinas is the theme and will be held from the 28th February to 10th March.

Thomas Cook and Fuerteventura Tourism Board have joined forces to host a Halloween Party in Caleta de Fuste on Monday 29th October. There will be activities including live music, dancing, games, raffles and an auction for children and families to participate in from 19:00 to 22:00 in the main plaza.
Proceeds from the event will be divided equally between these two charities aimed at improving the quality of children´s lives:

The Cabildo of Fuerteventura and Ayuntamiento of La Oliva presented the Rainbow Fuerteventura event at Fitur in Madrid earlier this year as part of a campaign to promote the resort of Corralejo as a LGBT destination.
The first edition of the festival took place in 2011, this year a programme of events for Rainbow Fuerteventura has been scheduled from the 10th to 14th of October.

The Biosfera Music Festival will be held in Fuerteventura on Saturday 22nd September 2012.
Located in the recinto ferial in Corralejo which is next to the pabellón de deportes. Featuring DJ Kiko Rivera, Tacabro, Henry Mendez & José de Rico.
Tacabro's tune Tacata is hugely popular in Spain and Europe at the moment, it's great to hear that this talented group will be performing in Fuerteventura.
Tickets cost €15 in advance, €20 on the door and €40 for the VIP area.
